Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste belongs to the municipality of Antigua and is approximately 8 km from the airport. Despite its proximity to the airport, there is little aircraft noise. The center of Caleta de Fuste is the large, clear bay with white sandy beaches, marina and the strip with many restaurants, bars and shops. Most of the holiday makers are an international mix of tourists. There is lots and lots to do in Caleta de Fuste: water sports, underwater rafting, deep sea fishing, jet skiing, a visit to the Oceanarium at the marina, golf etc.

El Castillo has a lot to offer in terms of shopping and entertainment. After Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste is arguably the best place for vacationers who appreciate nightlife. There are numerous bars, pubs and nightclubs. There is no shortage of restaurants, especially on the main street. Moreover, shopping centers such as "Atlantico" invite you to stroll and shop. In the "Atlantico" shopping center there is a cinema, casino and bowling alley. In the area are a Mc Donalds and Burgerking. 

El Castillo beach is located on a sheltered bay. The fine sand is white / yellow and clean and the beach is about 600 m long.

The beach is ideal for children because the shelter of the bay there are no high waves and the little ones can play undisturbed in the sand. Some beach bars provide catering on the beach and where you can also have a bite to eat. Beach beds and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach. Shops, Restaurants and Relaxation "El Castillo".

The Montaña Blanca district with the nickname Chipmunk mountain is built on the other side of the main road FV2 and has, among other things, an 18-hole golf course. The district is built against the hill and has the most beautiful views of the coast. The locals call the view Vista Bonita. In the district is also the Montecastillo shopping center with a Hiperdino supermarket and a number of restaurants and pubs. The shopping center is located in the lower part of the district.

Note: Costa de Antigua is connected to El Castillo by a promenade (Passeo Maritima) which can be reached on foot or by car (25 min on foot) To the north the path continues towards the airport and the capital Puerto del Rosario , with some quiet and little visited beaches such as Playa las Caletillas. You can also find the dog beach La Muley there. 

The bus stop (line 3) with a half hour service is 200/55 meters from the apartments in Casta de Antigua, so the mobility is perfect if you don't want to rent a car.

To really discover the island, we advise you to rent a car. It gives you the opportunity to visit locations without a bus connection.
